Jessica joined EY Law LLP in 2017 as a Senior Associate in the firm’s Toronto office. Since 2007, she has exclusively practiced US immigration and nationality law, gaining extensive experience in advising corporate clients on strategies for building efficiencies in their immigration programs, with an emphasis on compliance, while balancing business needs. Her practice in recent years has focused on nonimmigrant visas, particularly H-1Bs, for high-volume, multinational corporations and PERM labor certifications for clients of all sizes.

Experience

Previously, Jessica practiced in the San Francisco Bay area, the Los Angeles area and Washington, DC, during which time she built her capabilities in a variety of visa options for the tech, entertainment and health care industries. She has appeared and advocated for clients before the US Department of Justice and US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Credentials

Jessica received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor and her Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School. She is admitted to the bar in the State of Illinois and is a registered Foreign Legal Consultant with the Law Society of Ontario.

An active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Jessica has served on several of its national committees, including the USCIS Benefits Policy Committee, Vermont Service Center Liaison Committee and the Healthcare Professionals/Physicians Committee. She has appeared in the annual Who’s Who Legal: Corporate Immigration publication, in which she was identified as one of "the world’s leading practitioners," on multiple occasions.
