David Garabedian is a Partner at EY Law LLP with over 15 years of experience practicing exclusively in U.S. immigration and nationality law. He brings deep knowledge of U.S. business immigration law and policy, including temporary work and business visas, permanent residence, citizenship, and compliance matters.

David leads high-performing teams and oversees the delivery of U.S. immigration services to a broad range of corporate clients, including those in the Professional Services and Technology, Media & Telecommunications sectors. He is known for his strategic approach to client service, his ability to navigate complex immigration frameworks, and his commitment to operational excellence. David regularly advises on immigration strategies related to corporate restructuring—such as mergers, acquisitions, and reductions in force—as well as on compliance issues including I-9 and Department of Labor requirements. His guidance has helped clients optimize their immigration programs and align them with broader business goals.

Throughout his career, David has represented clients across industries and sectors, including arts and entertainment, sports, higher education, health care, and information technology. His practice spans both employment- and family-based immigration matters, and he has extensive experience with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of State, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Qualifications and Certifications

David earned his Juris Doctor from Oak Brook College of Law in 2007 and is admitted to the California State Bar (2010). He is licensed to practice law in the United States and is a registered foreign legal consultant with the Law Society of Ontario. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (Canada Chapter).
