Batia Stein is the Managing Partner of EY Law’s Immigration practice in Canada, where she leads a team of nearly 300 professionals across Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa and Montréal. With more than 25 years at EY, Batia drives the growth of EY’s Global Immigration practice, supporting clients in over 140 countries.
Batia is licensed to practice immigration law in Canada and the United States. She works with leading North American organizations across industries to align talent mobility with business strategy, mitigate risks, and deliver integrated services in collaboration with EY’s Mobility, Tax and Workforce Advisory teams.
Drawing on EY’s global network, she adds value to multinational clients with worldwide operations. Batia and her EY colleagues provide broad-based advice on short-term travel, remote work, M&A, new office setup, mobility policy design, and immigration function organization.
She has lectured on Canadian immigration law, speaks on talent mobility, and consults with the Canadian government on policy.
