    On a preliminary motion under section 58 of the Tax Court of Canada Rules (the Rules), the Tax Court of Canada (TCC) once again considered whether interest under section 161 of the Income Tax Act (the Act) is calculated differently for a reassessment under the general anti-avoidance rules (the GAAR) than it is for reassessments under other parts of the Act.
